STOP ANIMAL TESTING: Petra spent the final moments of her life in a cold, cramped steel cage at the University of California-San Francisco after enduring invasive brain surgeries. She rapidly lost weight and circled endlessly in her cage until experimenters finally killed her. The heartbreaking story of many monkeys like Petra begins in the wild, when theyre torn away from their families and shipped overseas in a tiny box in the cargo hold of an airplane. During the long journey to the laboratory, the dark room sways and bucks from turbulence. No one comforts them when their ears pop or theyre miserable with motion sickness. They are hungry, thirsty, and terrified. Laboratories rely on airlines such as Air France to feed them a seemingly endless supply of primates to jab, inject, electrocute, and murder. If we can cut off the supply, we could stop cruel and deadly experiments on monkeys. Thats why were going after Air France—one of only two major airlines still transporting primates to laboratories. Join thousands of PETA supporters and tell Air France to end this practice immediately. Add your name by October 31, and well automatically enter you to win lunch with rock star and animal rights activist Dave Navarro. This same story happens over and over again on airplanes crisscrossing the sky every day—maybe even on the next flight that you take. Profit-hungry airlines such as Air France will do anything for a buck—even if that means ignoring the screaming monkeys being loaded onto their planes. Change is possible. Almost every major airline in the world already refuses to transport primates to laboratories, and some wont transport any animals to laboratories. Thats because PETA activists like you took on these companies—and they listened. United Airlines, Air Canada, and Philippine Airlines are just a few of the companies that have recently banned the transport of primates to laboratories—and they all cited extensive pressure from PETA or our affiliates as the driving force behind their decisions. In fact, thanks to the work of PETA, not a single airline based in North America will deliver monkeys to laboratories, saving hundreds of lives. Now, help us win again. Tell Air France to stop shipping primates to laboratories. We need to gather 25,000 signatures by October 31 to have the biggest impact possible. Are you in? Were within striking distance of shutting down the transport of primates for use in experiments. But were not there yet. Thank you for your activism and support. Very truly yours, Ingrid E.
