STOP PLAYING CHURCH April 30 · Edited · You might believe in Replacement Theology if … In General: You might believe in Replacement Theology if you believe the Church is Israel and the Jews are not. If you are ignorant of the ghastly history of the Church’s relationship to the Jewish people you just might believe in Replacement Theology. If you see no relationship between Replacement Theology and the Holocaust you may possibly believe in Replacement Theology. If you think that challenges to Replacement Theology are actually disguised attacks on Reformed Theology then you might believe in Replacement Theology. If you think that premillennialism is pessimistic you might believe in Replacement Theology. If you don’t like the term, “Replacement Theology,” you might believe in Replacement Theology. If you think that believing in Replacement Theology is no big deal in God’s eyes, well, maybe you believe in it. If you quote Luther, or Calvin, or Augustine, to justify your eschatology it is possible that you believe in Replacement Theology. Restoration of all things If you hear messages referencing the “period of restoration of all things” (Acts 3:21) and it is never applied to the Jewish people, you might believe in Replacement Theology. If you read the “period of restoration of all things about which God spoke by the mouth of His holy prophets from ancient time” (Acts 3:21) and think that what the prophets spoke about is the Church. or… is the reformation of society through the Church. and, in any event … has nothing, or little, to do with the Jewish people. then you might believe in Replacement Theology Galatians If you read Galatians 3:16-29 and the only thing you remember is that “seed” is singular (3:16), and don’t consider that the same word (sperma) is used to describe plural “descendants” (3:39) you just might believe in Replacement Theology. If Galatians 3:16-29 confuses you because in 3:16 “seed” is singular referring to the Messiah, and the same word (sperma) is used to describe Abraham’s “descendants” (3:39) you might believe in Replacement Theology. You might believe in Replacement Theology if you are sure the Church is “the Israel of God” (Galatians 6:16). Romans If the only part of Romans 1:16 you think is relevant to the church is “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes” then you might believe in Replacement Theology. If you don’t know the second half of the sentence in Romans 1:16 is “to the Jew first and also to the Greek” then you might believe in Replacement Theology. If you believe that “to the Jew first” has already been fulfilled and that this prioritizing of the Great Commission is not the age-long Apostolic priority then you might believe in Replacement Theology. If you view Romans 9-11 as a parenthesis, or a non sequitur, which is irrelevant to the main point of the book, you might believe in Replacement Theology. … who are Israelites, to whom belongs the adoption as sons, and the glory and the covenants and the giving of the Law and the temple service and the promises, 5 whose are the fathers (Romans 9:4-5a) If you read “to whom belongs … the promises,” and that irks you, it is possible that you believe in Replacement Theology. If you read “to whom belongs … the promises,” and it never occurs to you that the Land of Israel might be included in those promises, it is possible that you believe in Replacement Theology. If you read “whose are the fathers,” and jealousy rises up in you that says, “Hey, they’re my fathers, too!” it is possible that you believe in Replacement Theology. If you meditate on “to whom belongs the adoption of sons,” and it makes no sense to you, it is possible that you believe in Replacement Theology. If you read “to whom belongs … the covenants,” and you automatically think that the New Covenant is not included in that which belongs to the Jewish people, it is possible that you believe in Replacement Theology. If you read “to whom belongs … the giving of the Torah,” and that provokes a “So what? No big deal.” it is possible that you believe in Replacement Theology. You might believe in Replacement Theology if when you read “not all Israel is Israel” (Romans 9:6) you automatically default to that being about Gentile Christians being part of “spiritual Israel.” (The same concerning Romans 2:28-29) You might believe in Replacement Theology if you think that God has rejected “natural” Israel. You might believe in Replacement Theology if you think that the only part of Israel God has not rejected are Jewish disciples of Jesus. When you read “all Israel will be saved” and are sure Paul is referring to the Church you might believe in Replacement Theology. If you think it is strange Paul wrote that unsaved Jewish people are still chosen and “beloved for the sake of the fathers” (Romans 11:28b) you might believe in Replacement Theology. You might believe in Replacement Theology if you quote “… their rejection is the reconciliation of the world” (Romans 11:15a) and don’t teach (or know) the rest of the sentence. If Paul writing “Rejoice O Gentiles together with His people” (Romans 15:10) doesn’t make any sense to you because “In Christ there” are no Jews or Gentiles (Galatians 3:28) then you just might believe in Replacement Theology. Olivet Discourse If you emphasize Matthew 24:14 and deemphasize Luke 21:24 then you might believe in Replacement Theology. If you believe that “until” in Luke 21:24 means that it is never going to happen then you might believe in Replacement Theology. If it really bothers you that many Christians believe that the nation of Israel may very well be a prophetic sign of the end times you might believe in Replacement Theology. Assimilation If you think that Jewish believers need to eat shrimp and ham to prove that they really are saved then you are hopelessly pickled in Replacement Theology. If you think that Messianic Jewish congregations are rebuilding the wall that separates Jews and Gentiles then you might believe in Replacement Theology. If you are convinced that Sunday is the new Sabbath you might also believe in Replacement Theology. The Land If you think the land of Israel is essentially irrelevant, and Paul making pilgrimage to Jerusalem contradicted his theology, then you might believe in Replacement Theology. If, no matter how many times you hear or read that Jewish people would be gathered to the Land of Israel in a state of unbelief (Ezekiel 36:22-18) you refuse to believe it, or it makes no sense to you and you cannot comprehend it, then you just might believe in Replacement Theology. Paul You might believe in Replacement Theology if you think Paul compromised when he circumcised Timothy made a vow and went to the Temple to fulfill that vow had deep sorrow in his heart for his brethren You might believe in Replacement Theology if you think that the only reason Paul visited synagogues and preached the Gospel “to the Jew first” (Romans 1:16b) was a missions strategy. https://youtube/watch… Replacement Theology Debunked in a Great Song! STOP PLAYING CHURCH Replacement theology in a nut shell: The Jewish people dont matter anymore. Jews and the fact that the majority of Jews live in Israel is not relevant because ALL Christians are spiritual Israel. This theory makes 0 sense with Bible prophecy and what God said would happen.
