The half of the other half were too young to know. But when they talk, you can obviously see that their comments are powered more by hate than any evil that Jonathan has done. They cannot sincerely point to any cogent achievement by the Buhari/ Idiagbon regime. They sidestep the selective punishment meted out by his regime and how he muzzled the press. They avoid the case of Buharis ADC who was caught with 32 briefcases. They forget that instead of building schools, he finally abolished what remained of free education. He ordered mass retrenchments and created massive unemployment. The question here is: Can they see change when confronted by it? Buhari is like a man who violated a woman and then wants to turn around and win her affection. That aptly describes what he did to democracy. A man who wants to root out corruption is been sponsored by men with dodgy characters. How can we believe him? This is not change. Change is a man who does not have a mean streak in his bones, is not vindictive and is strong enough not to be distracted by detractors and the invectives they hurl at him.
