STOP SAYING THIS TO YOUR KIDS We all wanna raise our little ones to be the most confident kids we can. So why do we say such damaging things to them without even realizing it? Here are some things we say to our precious angels that we may want to consider curbing ... Youre so smart! Youre so pretty! Youre so cute! – We think were building them up, but studies show were really instilling a massive fear of failure if they dont continue to meet our smart/cute/pretty expectations. Youre being a bad boy right now! – We shouldnt call them bad people just because theyre exhibiting bad behavior. Dont cry. – Boys cry. People cry. Kids cry. Its OK. HURRY! – Unless your house is on fire (or some other such emergency), if youre pressuring your kid to not take his time to take in the world, youre being kind of a bully. (Yahoo) Just Asking ... Do any of these phrases actually work for you and your child? Did your parents say all these things to you? What would you add to the list?
