STORIES THAT MOVE US: Today, this 83 year old lady by the name of Theresa came to our office to get an ear exam. She was accompanied by a neighbor, Isabel, who is 67 years old. While waiting for Theresa, Isabel, Isabel shared with us the situation of her friend and neighbor. Theresa is a single mother abandoned by her husband and who had a mastectomy because of breast cancer. Theresa basically makes ends meat by selling candy at home. Sometimes her neighbours come and bring her warm food as she does not have a stove. A few times they hace collected money so she can buy more candy to sell. Isabel has been helping her friend and neigtaking her to several places to request aid for her and to try to get resources so she is able to fend for herself . Such exemplary women, who despite their age, still look for ways to get ahead despite of their circumstances! We thank God for the opportunity to help them food and a chance to hear better!
