Ogoriba paid a visit to the founder of the Oodua People’s Congress (OPC), Dr. Fredrick Fasheun and Otunba Gani Adams, National Coordinator of OPC in Lagos to harmonies their political goals towards the re-election of President Jonathan. Addressing the press after meeting with the OPC leaders at two separate closed door sessions leader of the Oporoza House delegation, Comrade Timi Ogoriba said “We have found a brother here in Fasheun. We are here to rob mind with him and thank him. Our group seek to help Jonathan go in for another term and we have found an ally in Fasheun who consistently fights for the minority in this country.” During the Press briefing (l-r) Comrade Joseph Evah, Dr. Fredrick Fasheun and Comrade Timi Ogoriba Dr Fasheun thanked the group for the visit saying ‘One Nigeria’, just as he added that he has always spoken about when tribe and religion lays no barrier in the building blocks of nationhood. Golden Tamuno and Comrade Joseph Evah He maintained that he would continue to fight against injustice and intimidation of the minority as he had done for Major Hamza Al-Mustapha the Chief Security Officer to Late General Sanni Abacha who only recently discharged and acquitted of the killing of the wife of the late Chief M.K.O. Abiola. We discussed security and economic gains in the country amongst other issues. It is not an endorsement for Jonathan “but I am happy that the people of the Southern Nigeria are gradually coming together under a Southern Nigeria platform like the Northerners to chart a way forward for the people of the South in particular and Nigeria in general”. The Oporoza House delegate at the question and answer session of the press briefing National Coordinator of the Ijaw Monitoring Group Joseph Evah who facilitated the meeting between the Oporoza House delegation and the leaders of the Oodua People’s Congress –OPC reacted to feelers from certain Northern elements who do not want the President to re-run in the general elections. He said “Everybody is fighting for their own right and interest and this we understand. The Oporoza House delegate to the Oodua People’s Congress –OPC leaders that was led by Comrade T.K.Ogoriba include Kime Engozu, Marshal Kunoun, Chief Dan Ekpebide and Hilda Dokubo. Others are Binaebi Amabah, Chief Opaks Harry, Bar OTDK Amachree, Jon-Jon Oweifie, Bar. Ebinimi Koku, Barr. Golden Tamuno, Kalada Wilson, Ibiba Don Pedro and Presidor Ghomorai. urhobotoday/?p=6458
