STRAIGHT TALK: With the Cops of 2014 having been announced, they raise a hype of optimism ahead of their term of office, and it would appear as though the rest of the school agrees, writes FRANK VAN HEERDEN FANTASTIC FOURTEEN Indeed the Prefects of 2014 are a winning formula, totally. Before I pen this, I ask for some sanity, please, just as excited as you are, so am I. As we all sat on Thursday evening and they were being called up, the resounding claps suggested that the names called out reflected the wants of the voters, and while some got more than others, it remains consistent that they are indeed a balanced and appreciated group by the school. So, Friday came, and they started. Well, the congratulations wouldnt stop, and the pride that was evident suggested much ahead of their term of office. Reading some of the comments on Facebook, it would seem that even Old Boys are fond of this group. Not just your average group hey. In classrooms on Friday, people, with jubilation in my classes couldnt stop beaming and voicing their satisfaction and appreciation of the Cops of 2014. I feel optimistic about their term, and Im almost certain Im not the only one, so, heres to the Cops of 2014 !
