STRENGTH FOR TODAY (THE DEVIL’S WEAPON) To a child of God, there is one weapon the devil can use that will defeat you even before the battles starts. It is called strife. Strife allows the devil to bring confusion and every evil work into our life. Strife simply means bitter arguments, fights and competition and comes along with things such as unforgiveness and bitterness. When you got born again you were translated from the devil’s kingdom into God’s own as we see in Col 1:13 He has delivered us from the dominion of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved son, (RSV) This means the devil has no right to dictate to you and make you do what he wants you to do after all you are no longer under his dominion. All the blessings of God automatically become part of your covenant blessings and the right to access them was given to you. The devil does not like that which is why he does everything he can to make you walk in strife. He makes you get upset over little things, big things everything you can imagine because he knows what will shut the channel of blessing. “I confided in sis so and so and can you imagine she told the whole world about my situation.” “I borrowed bro Y some money and now I have to pursue him to get my own money back. Can you imagine that? God puts such a lot on forgiveness that he said in Mk11:24,” And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.” When you are offended, refuse to take offence as that will cause you to lose your blessing. The devil uses strife. Do not allow him to steal from you through strife. Confession: I am a child of God and I have the nature of the Father. I walk in love and forgiveness. I refuse to allow trivial issues or Any issue for that matter to build bitterness, unforgiveness or strife in my system. I enjoy the mercy of God daily because I am merciful to other. Scripture reading: Mk 11:25-26
