Follow the red flags up the walking track next to Tallis cellar door and experience panoramic views of the Dookie District and Strathbogie Ranges. With the onset of Autumn, the Dookie landscape is changing every day. Paddocks are being prepared by farmers for the planting of new crops (burning, harrowing and sowing) and the countryside is a patchwork of activity and texture. It is a beautiful time of year for walking as its not too hot and not too cold. Lots of kangaroos are out and about and you may even spot an eagle, goanna or if you are very lucky an echidna! So put on your walking shoes, rally your family and friends and follow the red flags up the walking track right next to the Tallis Wine cellar door. Its only a 1 hour return trip with the added bonus of a chance to relax, sip a glass of wine, savour a regional tasting platter or enjoy delicious homemade slice and coffee! Walking track is open every Friday, Saturday & Sunday from 11.00am to 5pm.
