STRUCTURE FIRE GILBERT VALLEY CFS firefighters were called to a house fire in the Gilbert Valley about 150 km north of Adelaide this morning. The alarm was raised just after 4.30am by the occupant of the home on Min Man Road, Manoora who reported a fire. CFS fire crews attended a short time later and managed to contain the fire to the front room of the house. The fire caused about $25,000 damage and was started by a candle that was left burning overnight. This incident has prompted a warning by the CFS that candles should never be left burning inside a house unattended which could lead to damaging and potentially fatal fires.
