STUDENT FINANCE TOUR GRADUATE PRESENTER An exciting opportunity for twenty six recent graduates in England to be involved in an inspirational education initiative. Are you a recent graduate with an abundance of energy, confidence and enthusiasm? The Student Finance Tour aims to communicate accurate information to young people 16-18 years old and their parents/carers about the Student Finance available to students applying to university. In order for young people to make an informed decision about their future, we want to increase their awareness of the financial support available. It is also important to make them aware of the benefits and value that university can bring and to ensure that they know where to go for further information and advice. The Department for Business, Innovation and Skills Student Finance Tour will visit secondary schools, FE and sixth form colleges to speak to students in years 12 and 13, and their parents during the autumn and winter term of 2014. We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated presenters who have the ability to inspire large groups of young people about the benefits of higher education and the financial support available. Your role will be to travel around your geographic region delivering an informative and fast-paced presentation. A vehicle will be provided to successful applicants for work-related use only. If you feel that university transformed your life and would love to have the opportunity to share your experiences and passion with others, then this is the job for you. Job Requirements You must be: • A recent graduate • Self-motivated with an outgoing, energetic personality • Possess excellent presentation skills • Ability to convey a large amount of information succinctly • Flexible, resourceful and dedicated to making sure the show goes on, come what may! • Experienced or interested in teaching/working with young people • A holder of a clean British driving license and a confident driver • Available to start on the 27th August 2014 until 19th December 2014 Location Candidates must be: • Happy to stay away from home during the week if necessary Please note: • Holidays can only be taken during scheduled school holidays • Since the post involves direct contact with young people, you will be subject to checks by the Criminal Records Bureau Closing date for applications: Wednesday 23rd July 2014.
