**STUDENT ORGANIZATION LEADERS: OPPORTUNITY TO WIN $250 GRANT** We at the Associated Students of UCR (ASUCR) are excited to announce the formation of the Highlander Vote Coalition! With voter registration efforts already underway, it is important for our university student leaders to set an example to the rest of the campus community. By joining the Highlander Vote Coalition, you and your organization will be a part of a non-partisan coalition that will help ASUCR reach the goal of registering 3,500 UCR students to vote. In addition to the opportunity for your organization to be formally recognized as a member of the Highlander Vote Coalition, members of the coalition, except for outside organizations and CalPIRG, will have the opportunity to win one of two $250 grants the Office of the Vice-President of External Affairs will be awarding to the one Greek organization and one non-Greek organization that register the most students to vote before the October 20th deadline. If your student organization is interested in joining the Highlander Vote Coalition and entering the competition, you may SIGN UP NOW at the link below. The competition will only last 13 days, from Wednesday, October 8th to Monday, October 20th. We will be accepting applications on a rolling basis until the October 20th deadline; however, if you would like the opportunity to take advantage of the full 13 days, you must contact the ASUCR Vice-President of External Affairs, Abraham Galván, via e-mail at [email protected] by Tuesday, October 7th at 5:00pm. As only cards that are properly filled out will be counted towards your organizations total count, it would also be in your best interest to have all volunteers attend our voter registration training Tuesday, October 7th at 2:00pm in HUB 260. This is not mandatory, but it is strongly encouraged. We look forward to hearing from you!
