STUDY TIP: COMPANION WEBSITES Be aware that many of your textbooks have companion websites. Not all of them are free to use, but many are. The typical companion website has glossary terms (so you can easily print them out), practice tests, and other tools to help students study (i.e. flash cards). To find out if your textbooks have companion websites, start by flipping through the first few pages of your books. Oftentimes the first few pages tell us a little about the book, such as changes made since the last edition and any instructor or student resources available. Links to companion websites are usually listed in the student resources section (again, normally on one of the first few pages of a book - before chapter 1 begins). However, some books actually list the link to the companion site on every page of the textbook. If you ever need help studying in a certain class, companion sites are a great place to start (if you need extra help, though, you can also use other resources, such as your professor, classmates, and the Tutoring Center).
