STUMBLING BLOCKS IN RECEIVING PROPHETIC MINISTRY (Part Three): If you are reading this blog, this is now the part three of the first two series that I have written yesterday. Thank you for following. Let us continue. While other churches will shut off entertaining dreams and visions as part of the relevant walk of the believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, other places will go off the scale of having too much of this, but too little of the Word of God. The famine in the Word of God is everywhere (Amos 8:11). There are ministers that knows the Word of God but deficient in knowing the ways of God. Someone can be a scholar of the Word but knows very little of God. Someone can memorize the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, but as far as knowing the ways of God, the cluelessness is apparent. If the church is ignorant about the Word of God, there is no plumbline ( a tool used in carpentry to determine vertical alignment) that can be used as a guide, to determine if the spiritual encounters of a believer are still within the confines of the dimension of the Holy Spirit. A believer can be sincere in seeking God but if there is a famine of the Word, he can fall into deception and went to the other side called mysticism. The Word of God keeps everyone into vertical alignment with the truth. So many believers in the Body of Christ got misled one way or the other, due to the lack of anointed teachers of the Word that can break the Word to them in pieces. Others are teaching, but there is no life. Others have no substance. Others will keep copying the revelation of others, hoping to bless others. It sounds like a noble intention. However, if a minister has a track record of copying others and keep on quoting others, because there was no hunger or spiritual discipline to study the Word. You will still leave the service famished in your spirit. Other leaders and churches would not accept the prophetic ministry not because of the prophet, but because they were burned by previous prophetic ministers who are clueless about the Word of God and misled them. Because the prophet is also coming under the umbrella of the prophetic ministry, everyone now is thinking that they are all misled. Not really. Remember this: there is a counterfeit because there is an original! If you are a pastor of your church and you desire to hear a prophetic voice, ask the Lord to lead you to the right prophetic ministries. God will not give you a snake if you are seeking for the fish (Matthew 7:10). God will not give you the false, if you are seeking for the truth! Eventually, He will lead you to those who carry the ministry with authenticity and a sense of responsibility. I sympathize to those that stumbled because of a prophetic ministry. The way to heal is not to walk away from the legitimate ones, but to continue to trust God that He will lead you to the right ministries. Once you find them, align with them. Enjoy the blessings of entering into the inheritance of the prophet`s reward. Once you receive a prophet in the name of a prophet (Matthew 10:41), whatever glory that comes with that prophetic ministry, you will become a drinker of it! If a prophet is a recognized prophet, do not receive him in the name of a pastor, evangelist, missionary, or a teacher. Receive the person for who he is, and discover what will be released to you in return! Receiving a prophet in that name, unleashes dimensions, faith, and elements that normally, the Spirit of God will hold back if there is no acceptance and recognition. I pray that starting today, you are going to start a journey of discovery in entering the realm of the prophet`s reward. Glory to God!
