SU conducts pre entry test, 5351 candidates participate October 27th, 2013 University of Sindh Jamshoro has conducted Pre-Entry Test for admissions to Masters and M. Phil/ MS degree programs for the session 2014 on Sunday at Arts Faculty Building, University of Sindh and at its all campuses simultaneously wherein a large number of 5351 candidates for both progUniversity of Sindh Jamshoro has conducted Pre-Entry Test for admissions to Masters and M. Phil/ MS) appeared. According to details, a total number of 2705 aspirants including 734 girls appeared in pre entry test on Allama I.I Kazi campus Jamshoro to seek admissions in masters’ degree program. Thus a record number of 2150 candidates took part in the test to get admissions to M. Phil/ MS in the varsity. On the other hand, the university administration made gorgeous arrangements of security, seating, waiting area for parents and relatives and parking for the vehicles brought by the candidates and their parents. The test started at 11 am sharply wherein the candidates faced 100 MCQ’s Type questions prepared by Sindh University test centre. There are 4 marks for one correct answer while only one negative mark on every wrong answer. In his speech, Prof. Dr. Nazir A. Mughal, the vice chancellor welcomed the aspirants of admissions in the varsity, saying that their presence on the campus will be more enjoyable as he hoped they will enhance research adding that the research is the need of society and country because Pakistan is a country where education is necessary for progress. He hoped that the new comers will complete their goals of conducting research as according to him the society is seeing to them so that the dream for prosperous Pakistan might come true. Dr. Mughal further said: the faculty members at university are the dedicated soldiers of research and they will teach new comers under the modern techniques in order to facilitate the scholars and students to conduct research on the campus. “Our faculty promotes free exchange of thoughts, cultural pluralism and culture of civility to get higher education”, Dr. Mughal said. Afterwards, during the test, the vice chancellor Prof. Dr. Nazir A. Mughal visited all the blocks wherein the candidates were appearing in the test and reviewed the process of test. He also met the candidates on the occasion. On the other hand, 188 candidates including 17 girls appeared in pre-entry test at Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed campus Dadu, 33 candidates including 2 female students participated in the test at Laar campus Badin, 37 candidates including 7 females at International University of Peace Sufism & Modern Sciences Bhit Shah, 65 candidates including 7 females at SU campus Thatta and 163 including 25 female students appeared at Larkana campus for admissions to M.
