SU expresses satisfaction over the arrangements made for organizing the fee reimbursement ceremony on June 15 JAMSHORO: A review meeting under the chair of Pro Vice Chancellor SU Thatta Campus Prof. Dr. Sarfraz Hussain Solangi held at Senate Hall of Administration Building, University of Sindh Jamshoro which expressed satisfaction over the arrangements made by the authorities concerned to organize the fees repayment ceremony under the Prime Minister’s fee reimbursement scheme. The ceremony is rescheduled to be held tomorrow (June 15) at Sindh University (SU) wherein a total number of 3184 students & scholars of different seven universities of the province including the Sindh University will be able to get their cheques of waived off fees as per public announcement made by the prime minister of Pakistan. According to press statement issued here from the Public Relations Section, the meeting advised all those students of masters and scholars of M. Phil & PhD who had been invited earlier to attend the ceremony on June 3 to reach now at Sindh University on rescheduled date i.e. June 15, 2014 (tomorrow) at 10 a.m. The ceremony will be organized at Shaheed Mohtarama Benazir Bhutto Research Chair & Convention Centre (SMBBRC&CC), Allama I.I Kazi Campus Jamshoro by the host Sindh University wherein approximately 2028 students as well as scholars of University of Sindh Jamshoro, 553 scholars of Mehran University of Engineering & Technology Jamshoro, 40 students of Liaquat University of Medical & Health Sciences Jamshoro, 12 Scholars of the University of Karachi, 5 scholars of NED University of Engineering & Technology Karachi, 3 students of Dow University of Health Sciences Karachi and 543 scholars of Sindh Agriculture University Tandojam will be disbursed the fees in the ceremony. The meeting stressed the invitees of the program to reach at the convention centre in time so that any disturbance in this connection may be thwarted. It may be noted that the scheme is focused on enhancing opportunities for access to higher education especially to talented but financially constrained students belonging to remote and far flung areas of the country who despite possessing academic merit, are unable to finance their education.
