SUBASE North Lake Closed GROTON, Conn. - Due to mechanical pump failures, Naval Submarine Base New Londons (SUBASE) North Lake will be closed for swimming and water recreation on Wednesday, July 23. Scheduled swim lessons will be moved to the base Swimming Pool (Bldg.120) at their normally scheduled times. SUBASEs Morale, Welfare, and Recreation Department and Public Works Team are striving to fix the issues, but unfortunately there is no estimate on when repairs may allow for North Lake to re-open.
