SUCCESSFULLY marching to the next hurdle after a successful screening at the PDP zonal headquarters Enugu yesterday. He remains PDPs best bet. AHIA OMA NA ERE ONWE YA. Eric Acho Nwakanma who knows the problems of Aba more than any other aspirant has said that the major problem with Aba roads is flooding caused by incomplete and shoddily done drainage systems since Mbakwe administration. He has the original master plan and knows and has physically visited all the manhole/construction sites causing the problem. He has promised that in his first year, he will fix all the existing roads in Aba and make them last by fixing the drainage systems( go and check the Eric Acho Nwakanma road that he personally supervised more than 8years ago, there is no single pot hole on it till date). He will subsequently link them up as in the original master plan eg, Ibere street to port harcourt road, obohia to obohia town, Ohanku to Ohanku town etc. He will construct a ring road around Aba town with a third bridge across water side and a road to link the bridges, to decongest the traffic in the city centre. He has a doable and practicable plans. He will hit the ground running because he is prepared. He said embarrassment by touts will cease because taxes will be built into the cost of goods and services like its done in civilized places, so more traders will come to buy from Aba.
