SUE WONG FEATURED ON COVER OF AVANT GARDE MAGAZINE #teamsuewong magcloud/browse/issue/754816 I am very honored to be featured on the cover of this AVANT GARDE magazine. This iconic portrait of me welcomes guests to The Cedars (my Hollywood Babylon Revisited landmark home) and hangs in the main entrance of the foyer. It is painted by artist Jayme Odgers in a mythological style inspired by Gustav Klimt. It contains many esoteric metaphors that symbolize important aspects of my personal spirituality. The water beneath me symbolizes the subconscious mind, while the Egyptian eyes of Horace are depicted above my head, representing wisdom. The golden sphere over me represents the sun and masculine principle, while the blue sphere surrounding it represents the moon and feminine principle. On each side of the painting, stands one of a pair of lovers. The figure on the left represents the internal world, and my Asian roots, while the figure on the right represents the external world, and the many cultures I have come to embrace. Above, are the trees of knowledge, whose new leaves signify ongoing learning, expansion, and personal growth. Depicted in the background are the archetypal spiral coils of eternity, a sign of the infinity and interconnection of all being. Thank you AVANT GARDE magazine for the great honor!
