SULTAN CAN BE WRONG TO HAVE DECLARED TODAY AS SALLAH. I am beginning to reconsider my position on our celebration of Eidil Fitril today. Such celebration might have been declared in error by Sultan of Sokoto. Information available to me now indicate that, Nigeria is the only country celebrated Eid today, no any other across the world did including Saudi. One begin to wonder. Is Nigeria moon different from the rest of the world? Moon sighting Committee said, we didnt sight any moon despite the use of scientific gadget. However, some private told the Sultan that they did sighted it. The question is, why inform the Sultan without informing the committee established for the purpose? Even after the Sultan was informed. We didnt sight any moon despite all effort said Dr. Wali. So, if Sultan wouldnt listen to committee set up for that purpose, why did they set it up? Why did Sultan announced Eid without their knowledge? If Sultan can disregard such Committee in such manner. Hmmmn! But nothing concern us either Sultan did good or bad. Islam has procedure on everything as it has on Ramadan. There is serious misconception on this year Ramadan. May Almighty Allah accept it for us
