Forecast to make landfall along the East Coast of India. --------------------------------- Earths most powerful tropical cyclone since 2013s devastating Super Typhoon Haiyan, Super Typhoon Vongfong, peaked in intensity Tuesday with top sustained winds of 180 mph, and has weakened slightly. Super Typhoon Vongfong is a Threat to Japan; Tropical Cyclone Hudhud Menaces India. Vongfong is Earths fourth Category 5 storm of the year, and the second in the Western Pacific.
