SUMMER SQUASH CAMP IN EUROPE JUNE 27 - JULY, 2014 Why this trip will change your game... Playing squash at a club with coaches is a sure way of becoming a better player, however, taking the sport to a different country will be a whole different experience. When playing at a club, a player may sign up for an hour lesson, go home and forget about squash for the rest of the day. This trip will force the players to think about squash all day long. They will dream squash, they will eat squash, and most importantly, they will play squash; a lot of it, too. Squash is both a physical and mental game. When experiencing squash beyond what the player is used to at home, the players mental toughness is increased to an entirely new level. Playing the Pioneer Cup and Dutch Junior Open will open your eyes to a different world of tournaments. You will be facing players from all over the world with different skill levels, all competing towards a single goal; to be the best they can be at squash. After playing these huge tournaments, a simple competition in the U.S will feel very ordinary to the experienced squash player. Dont miss out on this great opportunity, and take a minute to think about what you want to do this summer. Choose to benefit from this trip, and it will be the best choice you have made to improve your squash game. We are qualified in taking campers outside of the U.S to experience new cultures and understand the intensity of squash on a global level. Where Are We Going? Pyramid Squash is taking campers to Berlin first for a five day training session and some sightseeing. On the 2. of July we will travel to Cologne where we will have a light session to get familiar with the courts. The next 10 days will be tournament play starting in Germany - Cologne for the Pioneer Cup and the Netherlands - Amsterdam for the Dutch Junior Open. Camp Schedule We will arrive in Cologne June 28th where we will connect to a bus which will bring us to Berlin. After checking in at the hotel we will head to the courts and have a light practice day. The next 4 days will be spent with two training sessions a day, focusing on fitness in the morning and tactic/technique in the afternoon. By bus we will head over to Cologne, a merely two hour ride, and have a light hit on their courts in the afternoon. The following 10 days will be tournament days, before we will return to the US on the 13th. The coaches will ensure that all players will get up in the mornings with plenty of time to have a good breakfast and warm-up. After our tournament day, or between if time permits, we will do some sightseeing and get a break from the club. An important aspect about these two big events is that both tournaments are run on the MONRAD System which provides players with continuous matches. Players are not eliminated from the tournament, but rather continue to play matches until a final ranking is established. email (info@pyramidsquash) or call Gamal (914.961.7529) for more information.
