SUMMIT COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE 3/13/2014 PRESS RELEASE Misrepresentation Arrest The Summit County Sheriff’s Office was contacted in regards to someone that reportedly had been using the identification of a person that died in 2007. In February of 2014, the suspect was cited for Driving Under Suspension and Expired Plates. On March 4, 2014, the suspect was cited for Driving Under Suspension. Each time, he used the identification of the deceased person. The Sheriff’s Office investigated the matter and found the suspect’s true identity to be Drew Redington, age 28 of Akron. Redington had an outstanding warrant for Failure to Appear- Possession of Cocaine. He was arrested and booked into the Summit County Jail on March 13. Redington is facing additional charges for using the deceased’s identification. Follow-up questions should be directed to Inspector Bill Holland at 330-204-6853.
