SUN 03/08/2014 A WALL OF FIRE Dan3:1-30; Isaiah43:2 When the fire of God surrounds a man, no assault of the devil can operate around him. Fire either devours or refines depending on the quality of the material put in it. From our text today, Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon mandated everybody to either bow to his golden image or be cast into a furnace of fire, but these three Hebrew brothers stood their ground and refused to bow despite the threat of the king. They were bound and cast into the fire, but because there was a greater fire burning around them from above and “anything from above is above all”, the king’s fire could therefore do them no harm. In other to prevent the operations of the enemy around you, you must be surrounded with the fire of God. God’s fire in you serves as the antidote to whatever assault the enemy is proposing. When the fire of God is burning all around you, your enemies will be silent. They always look for loop holes to have their way into any life; they seek after your unguarded hours and capitalize on it. The fire of the Lord makes the enemies to cry while you the carrier of the fire is smiling. The fire of God stands as the light to your pathway while its burn the enemies around. Adam was not on fire for the Lord that was why the enemy could come and ravage his home. To secure your home, let it be built with the wall of God’s fire. It makes you recover all that has been stolen. The fire of the Lord enables divine security all around you; it turns other natural fire to suitable air conditioning system for you. Natural fire can’t consume you because God is with you even in the fire-Isaiah43:2. You have to consciously set a hedge of fire around all that concerns you in order to put the enemy away. What then is this wall of fire? In the book of Jeremiah 23:29, the Lord said “is my word not like fire?” The makeup of the wall is God’s eternal word. No matter how armed the enemies could be, the host of heaven encompasses you with chariots of fire to defend you is more than those wretched enemies that you could see. It does not matter where you find yourself, God will never desert you. There is no barrier to where God can go once you are in line with His will; His Fire will burn around you from today in Jesus name PRAYER POINT: Father, I build a wall of fire around my family and I, let everything that concerns me be protected by fire from today in Jesus name.
