SUNDAY 05/10/14 TOPIC: THE WORD IS THE BASIS FOR PRAYER. SCRIPTURE: I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name. Ps. 138:2 THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Anything you see under heaven that does not line up with the Bible, should be discarded. If God did not ask us to call upon Him and He would answer, there will be no reason to pray at all. Jer. 33:3 says, Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not. Effective and impactful prayer must be Word-based. Our anchor Scripture tells us that God has magnified His Word above everything else. The meaning of that is, God does not play with His Word. The Word of God holds a very high level of value in His sight. Human beings may play with words but Jehovah does not play with words. When He told Peter to go and launch his net for a catch in the deep, even though there were no fishes in the lake before then, because of the declaration that came out of His mouth, the water was populated on the spot with fishes. If God has magnified His Word above even His Name, then His Word is heavier than the word of any herbalist, terrorist, native doctor or false prophet. This means that anything you see under heaven that does not line up with the Bible should be discarded. It has no capacity for survival. I would like you to come to the point where you give the Word of God the same place that God gives It. The Word is bigger than your problems and every negative prognostication of negative prognosticators. The Word of God is stronger than any medical report or symptom in your body. Remember this: anything you see under heaven that does not line up with the Bible, should be discarded. ASSIGNMENT (S): 1. Endeavour to always pray Word-based prayers. 2.
