***SUNDAY 18 MAY*** .... this is the date for the 5 km PINK RUN in Stanley in aid of Cancer Research and now ..... the PINK DOG WALK/RUN, Fitzroy! Entering into the spirit of things Mucky Paws are arranging a PINK WALK from the Fitzroy turn off MPA road to the Fitzroy Village Hall. A distance of approx 4 miles. Walking the route, all proudly sporting pink will be: Jackson (St Bernard) Barney (Newfoundland) Ilolas (Finnish Lapphund) Callie (Leonberger) Jake Short (GSD/Ex MWD) We would like to invite you to join us on this walk, wearing something PINK – yes, the guys as well as the girls! £10 registration fee - all proceeds to Cancer Research. Registered walkers will receive a medal after completing the walk :) We are also collecting for Serbia Forgotten Paws a Registered Charity supported by Mucky Paws. If you are unable to join in, please consider sponsoring us or making a donation – we will be finishing at the Hall where there will be food and drinks for all the participants. Of course runners are also very welcome. Sponsorship forms and posters available from Mucky Paws - email [email protected] Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a leash at all times and should be persuaded to wear pink for the day! Timings to be confirmed but it is looking like a 1030 registration at the MPA Road turn off to Fitzroy, which should give us lots of time to finish for lunch. T-shirts will be on sale at Registration. For those that know me – you will understand what it takes for me to actually consider wearing something pink – and if the girls in the office forge ahead it could be worse than just wearing a pink top!!! Please share and forward to anyone you think might be interested in walking on the day. Be great if MPC personnel would join us too – the more the merrier! Everyone is welcome, young and old - it’s all for 2 great causes and a fun day at the same time. There will be a driver on standby for anyone who feels they cannot complete the distance. Could I please have names of those intending to participate ASAP so we can liaise with Sally Ellis the organiser of the main event. Walks/runs for this event are organised elsewhere in the FI but we think this may be a first for Fitzroy. Final details will be advised on FB and other media closer to the day – come along and help us make this first walk a great one!
