SUNDAY, 31ST AUGUST 2014 EVENING DEVOTION.RESTORATION BY SERVICE PART 2 TODAYS SCRIPTURE. Its not going to be that way with you. Let the senior among you become like the junior; let the leader act the part of the servant. (Luke 22:26 MSG) Being a leader in the Kingdom does not mean dishing out orders and folding your hands, but actively serving the Lord! We are called as soldiers to actively serve God and humanity. You are created to function in committed service to God and your fellow men. You must take whatever you do in life and Gods house seriously. You must always be willing to give your best and go the extra mile. Never become weary or complacent. Do everything as unto the Lord for He is the rewarder of service. In fact service is one of the secrets to a sound, healthy and vibrant restored life.(Rom 11:12KJV). Do not be involved in any kind of corrupt practice, it is a sign of laziness. Give yourself to service and you will become restored and successful. In addition, be fervent in the spirit! Fervency means you are not slow but quick in carrying out your assignment. Whatever you can accomplish today there is no need postponing it until tomorrow. Be diligent in your service! You should never disappoint your customer, boss or those who you are serving. Be the first to finish whatever you are given to do. Finally, serve the Lord! In your local church be involved in service. If your secular job makes you handicap in the house of God, you are not fulfilling the word of the Lord. Incomplete service is when you are active in your personal affairs and draw back in Gods work. Your blessing from God is tied to your serving Him! (Job36:11).Your prosperity and pleasure will be restored this month if you are obedient in service. Tonight’s Prayer.
