SUNDAY BEST Warm up to the flower show Sure, Mother Nature has been metaphorically pelting us with slush balls for months. But here’s an opportunity to take the sting out of our Viking winter: The Chicago Flower & Garden Show is coming. The show runs Saturday through March 23 at Navy Pier. Take a spin through its website ( chicagoflower , which also has the hours and ticket prices). Your interest will be piqued. Your heart will race. You will realize that better days — warmer days — are ahead. This year’s show has family-themed offerings, such as the Kids Activity Garden. There will be dozens of seminars, where you can brush up on familiar topics or explore new areas of interest. (Seminars are free with ticket purchase.) There will be two dozen featured gardens, a marketplace, how-to demonstrations and more. You can almost smell the fresh dirt.
