SUNDAY CHILL OUT GUIDE We hope you had a great night last night wherever or whatever you got up to, but if you are in need of some R & R and chill out after the evening before, or if you couldnt get out and fancy a bit of a blast tonight, heres your Sunday Chill Out Guide for some ideas: CROOK 1. Its party time down at The Mill tonight from 8pm with entertainment from Avalon, who are two absolute corking female artists who will be performing a great set of acoustic covers thatll leave you wanting more. We know them under another guise and we can guarantee this will be a real treat tonight. Its Also Peter Flash Donald birthday bash, so make sure you wish him a good one..... Peter, we wish you a happy birthday and we hope you have a storming night.... all the best. DARLINGTON 1. The excellent tribute act Thyn Lizzy are performing an acoustic set at The Quakerhouse from 4pm and a chance to catch the very best of Thin Lizzy and Phil Lynott unplugged. Great band and musicians thatll keep you entertained all day. MIDDLESBROUGH 1. Westgarth Social Club is hosting an evening of fantastic music and bands, especially if you like your must raw and with punk tendencies, tonight featuring 210 who are a Russian band, From the gut - who are a superb hardcore anarcho punk band from Durham that are really worth catching, Boycott the Baptist, Gein & Deatheater; all from 7.30pm with a £5 charge in the door. NORTH SHIELDS 1. A super night is in store this evening from 6pm at The Wooden Doll with the fantastic American Girl brings one of the best shows youll see with music from the likes of Billy Idol, Tom Petty, Pat Benatar, ZZ Top and other great bands, all with high energy and massive entertainment. 2. Bringing chaos theory to The Magnesia Bank tonight is the brilliant Gatecrashers who will be leading you through some of the best played music youll hear and in random directions as the take from Queen to Prince to Hot Chocolate to T Rex and beyond and some of the very best AC/DC and Led Zeppelin around. 3. Theres an afternoon with a difference at The Real Garricks Head with a family orientated day of animal delights from 3pm. Take you kids down and get to see loads of different animals all for £2. SEATON SLUICE 1. A corking night is in store at The Waterford Arms from 6pm with the excellent Black Rose bring you everything Thin Lizzy and we can guarantee performed at the very top of the game. Great night of entertainment in store if you can get there. SOUTH SHIELDS 1. A great evening of entertainment is in store at The Marsden Inn from 5pm with Twister providing the music and entertainment. Twister are making great waves, having finished 2nd out of 12,000 in the Surface Unsigned Festival and are a great representative of the north east as a young up and coming band. 2. Trimmers Arms - South Shields welcomes Howie B tonight from 7pm who is a fantastic and critically acclaimed solo artist that will have you entertained all evening. STANHOPE 1. The Bonny Moorhen plays host to the brilliant Tumblin Dice tonight with tunes from the likes of Bon Jovi, Golden Earring, Pink Floyd, Queen and many more. SUNDERLAND 1, Making their way back over the Pennines, the fantastic Squeeker are playing at The Wheatsheaf from 5pm with music from the likes of Mud, The Beatles, The Vapors, Roxy Music, Mental As Anything, Dave Clarke Five and many other great bands chucked in for great measure. WALLSEND 1. The Rose Hill Tavern is in for a real cracker this evening from 7pm as the superb Ballbreakers arrive to get up close and personal and to ensure you are rocked the roots and left a quivering wreck with a big grin on your face. Music from the likes of Ted Nugent, Gary Moore, Dr Feelgood, BB King and loads more great, great tunes are in store for a night not to be missed. WHITLEY BAY 1. Sam Fender returns to his roots in the north east with an event at Spanish City this afternoon. Sam Fender is a very talented singer and song writer and is playing in the region with support from The Bernicia Music Company. You will need wrist bands to enter the event, but these are free and you can download vouchers for them at: berniciafestival.co.uk/lineup/north-tyneside/sam-fender/ 2. The Berkeley Tavern welcomes the excellent Whole Hog and 2 hogs tonight from 6pm, who will be playing a range of classic rock covers from the likes of Fleetwood Mac, Steely Dan, Free, The Who, Led Zep, Pink Floyd and many more. A great night of entertainment is in store. Some ideas for today, so if you are in the mood get out and enjoy some of the great music that is on around the region.
