SUNDAY LIVE SERVICE - INTERCESSION Choose your Thoughts When you sit to dine with a ruler, note well what is before you, and put your knife to your throat if you are given to gluttony. Do not crave his delicacies, for that food is deceptive. Do not wear yourself out to get rich; have the wisdom to show restraint. Cast but a glance at riches, and they are gone, for they will surely sprout wings and fly off to the sky like an eagle. Do not eat the food of a stingy man, do not crave his delicacies; for he is the kind of man who is always thinking about the cost. “Eat and drink,” he says to you, but his heart is not with you. You will vomit up the little you have eaten and will have wasted your compliments. Proverbs 23:1 -8 – NIV As a man thinks in his heart; so is he. Choose and control your thoughts. It is within your ability to choose and control what your thoughts should be and what your thoughts should not be. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable – if anything is excellent or praiseworthy – think about such things. Philippians 4:8 - NIV This scripture gives us direction on the things we should think about, it talks about the ability in you – to choose what you think of. Do not meditate on just any thought that comes into your mind. You have the ability to deliver yourself. Deliver yourself from spirit of poverty - deliver yourself from a cage - deliver yourself from bondage. This is the Lord that gives us direction. The word has a power to change a person’s stage, it does not matter what stage you are, meditate on the word of God. Your healing, deliverance and breakthrough is waiting for you to apply Philippians 4:8. Continue to mount a good report in your heart. Do not allow every thought to come in but accept the thoughts that lead you to success and prosperity. Commit your thoughts unto the Lord and your thoughts will be established. God will establish your thoughts. The Lord is in our midst to establish our thoughts. Jesus is here and approving your thoughts, may it be success and prosperity, he is approving them. The thoughts of man are a gift because animals cannot think but they are programmed to do things but we have been given this gift of thinking. Continue to think about God’s holiness and goodness. Even the enemy knows the power of your thoughts that’s why he will try to possess your mind. Possess the holiness of God in your thoughts and nothing will shake you. Understand the power you have in your thoughts, it is able to deliver, bless and give you promotion. Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. Joshua 1:8 - NIV Joshua could command the sun to stop because he never let the word depart from his mouth. What you think, decide and decree in your mind shall come to pass. On the day the LORD gave the Amorites over to Israel, Joshua said to the LORD in the presence of the Israel: “O sun, stand still over Gibeon, O moon, over the valley of Aijalon.” So the sun stood still, And the moon stopped, till the nation avenged itself on its enemies, As it is written in the book of Jashar. The sun stopped in the middle of the sky and delayed going down about a full day. Joshua 10:12 – 13 - NIV [Prayer] Purify our hearts and thoughts Clean our hearts and thoughts The enemy is not in our thoughts Thank you for your unfailing love Thank you for the peace that you have given us You have given us the power, it is in our thoughts It is through your word that we can conquer You are the only one who can change our thoughts You are the only one who can lead our thoughts In the mighty name of Jesus – Amen.
