SUNDAY REFLECTION ( THE CALL) dear friends in Christ, the call of Abram can be compared to our call to follow Christ as CHRISTIANS. Last Sunday, we see Jesus been put to the test by the devil, today the call of Abram can also been seen as a test of faith to follow Christ. God ask him to leave every thing and go to an unknown land, and promise to bless him, what a test these could this be! We all have been called to serve God in different ways some are called to be teachers, farmer, soldier, lawyer, political leaders, priest, pastor or the married life how are we responding to this call? for Abram he left every thing and followed God without complaining. And Either his wealth or lands would stop him. Today many wish to follow Christ but many things are preventing them, just like the young man who wanted to follow Christ but his wealth could not let him(mark 10:21) i dont know what is holding u back from accepting this call to follow Christ, it could be ur Wealth, wife, mother or ur business or a particular sin etc. but in the Gospel of today (Matt 17:1-9) jeusu asure us that if we follow him we will wish never want depart his presence just like peter and john wish they remind on the mountain when they saw the glory of God. So let us pray that God will give us the grace to answer his called without looking back. Happy Sunday
