SUNDAY, all day in New Yawk Cit-taaa ..... Another great day in the Big Apple. Saw Leland Gantts one man show, Rhapsody in Black - Lets Have a Conversation, at the Actors Studio last night. Leland who is one of New York Citys acting treasures bravely tackled some difficult issues on Black identity and racism in his compelling play. Then went down to the lower east side to Rome Neals Banana Puddin Jazz Night, and what a beautiful night it was. A tribute was given to Grace Jones and Audelco Audience Development, with all the former Audelco winners and nominees in the house. Then there was Banana Puddin Birthday celebration for two dynamic actresses and ladies, Kim Weston Moran and Johnnie Mae. Not to mention all the amazing artists and theatre officials in the room like, Ron Cephas ,Jones, Jackie Jeffries, Cedric Turner, and more. Lovely night. Today, off to see my play at the Black Spectrum Theatre Company. Too many blessing to be stressing. (Bradford Jones quote.)
