SUNDAYS TROPICAL CYCLONE UPDATE [[PLEASE SHARE]] Well, Tropical Cyclone Lam is expected to develop overnight tonight or during tomorrow in the far far eastern part of Queensland waters. This particular system is expected to move east AWAY from QUEENSLAND towards Vanuatu as a category 1 or 2 system. Of much more interest to Queensland. A second tropical low is currently located around 500 km east of Cooktown up in Far North Queensland. This system is not expected to develop significantly until around Wednesday. At this stage we are expecting a category 1 tropical cyclone or a tropical low to develop on Wednesday before heading slowly south, likely heading towards Queensland. At this stage, we are expecting the system to move towards the Queensland coast somewhere in the vicinity of the Cairns to Mackay region. However, we are expecting this system to be only a Tropical Low, it is unlikely that the system will be a Tropical Cyclone by this stage.
