A volunteer writes: A big boy well dressed in a black and white suit looks at me with the most gentle and puzzled button eyes. He owns such a good face. A Teddy Bear of a dog....Sebastian is a must to take out, a promise of a sweet and quiet time in the yard after a walk around the block. Sebastians kennel is immaculate and orderly. I know why..He is so housetrained, voiding an ocean as we reached the street. Sebastian strolls nicely by my side and nears other pooches in the most peaceful way. I can tell he is happy to be out and in company. His body waddles and his tail wags. He glances frequently at me. We are glad to be together, no doubt about it...Free in a pen, Sebastian explores a little then comes by my side to eat some treats that he takes quite politely from my hands. His eyes sparkle...This chunky papa has indulged too much in good food. A proper diet is in order and a few walks a day. Sebastian enjoys the company of dogs having some fun on the both sides of our enclosure and is rather surprised when one of them barks at him. Sebastian believes in love not in war.....He comes when I call him and squeezes his body against my legs for caresses. He is a true sweetheart. Sebastian owned since puppyhood is an elederly gentleman who has been outstandingly cared for by his former master. He was relinquished into our care as his family could not care for an older dog anymore. Indeed old age comes with issues and mushy Sebastian has some warts and tags down below that are bleeding and will need treatment. He is so worth the care ....Everybody loves him here at the Manhattan Care Center and we hope that soon enough he will find his way to a home that will welcome him, care for him and love him to pieces for the rest of his life.
