SUPERMAN VERSUS BATMAN isnt based on their dumb fight in Dark Knight Returns (says the director), but it will be based on KINGDOM COME (according to my prediction and application of the strategically released clues). in fact, calling it Superman versus Batman is a red herring, because if KINGDOM COME is to be the source material, an old Batman AND an old SUPERMAN lead whole armies of old and next generation demigods (heroes and villains) to a battle that threatens to destroy the earth. clues released are that ben affleck will play a batman who is at least fourty. and that hell be wearing a crazy batman suit that hasnt been seen on film yet. period. in kingdom come, batman is old. so is superman. it takes place in the future. batman has to wear robotic gear even to walk around as bruce wayne. he wears strange armour which allows him to fly when he finally suits up as batman. i think batman versus superman sounds like a terrible idea, UNLESS the source material is KINGDOM COME. superman is already old in man of steel at 33. to introduce batman as even older just doesnt make sense in that universe for an immediate sequel unless the story takes place in the future, well after the world is populated by superheroes following supermans lead. man of steel was aware of the grandeur necessary to tell a good superman story. we know dc wants to populate a univers of future movies about its superheroes. to catch up to marvels model for its superheroes movies and the avengers with a future Justice League movie, it makes strategic sense for DC to create a story well into the future where all of the superheroes have existed for a long time. then the next movies can include the heroes that will make super hero stories of the players for a Justice League movie. so man of steel was an origin story. batman v superman (kingdom come) will show the full effect superman had on the world (along with the mistakes of a lifetime. and the third superman if it is a trilogy will take place back in modern times again instead of the future. this is my prediction, but it fits all of the clues dropped by DC for the Man of Steel Sequel, plus it would actually be good. Kingdom Come is one of the best Superman stories. i think this is a secret meant to impress comic fandom when word finally gets out. lucky for you im big enough of a nerd to have figured it out.
