Local innovators are invited to access mentoring, business planning, financing and other assistance, right here in Cochrane. “Great innovators with new ideas often need help putting other pieces of the puzzle into place to become successful”, says Robert Kalinovich, economic development officer for the Town. “This local network provides the kind of encouragement and expertise that can make all the difference to someone trying to launch a new idea.” The Town’s Economic Development staff are working with local business owners and support agencies to help knowledge-based businesses get out of the garage and into the world. Assistance might be as simple as encouragement or advice, and as complex as strategic planning and creative partnerships — all offered to help local innovators start or grow their ideas into successful businesses.
