SUPPORT LGBT AWARENESS TRAINING FOR CARIBBEAN POLICE, MEDIA, HEALTH CARE & OTHER SERVICE PROVIDERS! Want to help advance human rights recognition for LGBT people in the Caribbean? Well, here is a wonderful opportunity for you to support LGBT awareness training for police, media, health care and other key service providers in the 6 Caribbean countries of Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Dominica, Grenada, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, and Suriname. The training will be on a sustainable train the trainer basis and builds on work that Tom and I have done in the region for AIDS-Free World in partnership with United and Strong INC in St. Lucia, lgbt platform suriname, and Movadac in Barbados. This new phase of the project is being coordinated by United and Strong and the Global Justice Institute of Metropolitan Community Church, which will provide tax receipts for US residents. Access to justice, health care, and balanced media reporting of LGBT issues will reduce the level of hostility towards LGBT people across the region.
