Please help, if you can contribute any amount to the indiegogo campaign launched by Prison Radio to help raise legal costs for the fight against the “Silence Mumia Law” recently passed by the PA legislature. The Abolitionist Law Center is representing Prison Radio, Mumia, and others in federal litigation filed in November. This unprecedented law allows crime victims and prosecutors to go into court and obtain an injunction if a person convicted of a personal injury crime engages in conduct that causes the victim “mental anguish.” The law was passed in response to Fraternal Order of Police pressure after Mumia gave a commencement address at his alma mater, Goddard College, and is explicitly designed to silence him.
