SUPPORTER DENNIS WRIGHT`S REPORT ON OUR 3-0 VICTORY OVER HYDE:- Well we started off as captain Matt Wilson wanted with an emphatic home win. In the end it was rather easy, we never got out, or had to get out of second gear in the second half. An early goal from Liam King set us on our way after 6 minutes. Tom Denton got his first competitive goal for the Villagers with a header squeezed in from a narrow angle midway through the half. 2 – 0 up at half time. Hyde showed some early spirit and one or two decent touches but the only problems our defence had was when we played ourselves into trouble with sloppy passing or taking the wrong options at times. In the second half we coasted but could have had a few more. 3 very worthy penalty appeals turned down by the ref. Chances created a plenty but a decent keeper kept us at bay. Danny Emmerton had another good game but must have sore ankles the number of times he was brought down from behind after leaving players trailing. Tom Denton added the third at the death with another header. This time Nathan Jarman, who worked tirelessly, picked him out at the far post and he found the bottom far corner with a downward header. JD picked up everything in midfield. Matt Wilson is getting a bit to involved in the “handbags “stuff when he has no need to and could well have been booked again last night. A very lenient ref, for both sides
