SURRENDER. Have we given our lives completely to God? Surrendering our lives to God is not a one-time event; IT IS SOMETHING WE HAVE TO DO DAILY. There is simply no other god like our Father. He tells us to lay our burdens at the foot of the cross. He loves us unconditionally despite all the garbage inside us. Today, God is simply telling us to fully surrender our lives to Him. Is it necessary for us to surrender our lives? Absolutely. One hundred percent. Who is in control? God or you? Who owns you? God or you? Who has more say, the clay or its Maker? If we cannot die to ourselves, we are useless in the Kingdom of God. Romans 12:1 Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship. Why do we have to surrender daily? We aren’t robots. None of us were preprogrammed to love God the way love is supposed to be defined. God is searching throughout this corrupted world to find those who love Him His way. No one will ever force us to surrender our lives, but it is a choice we have to make. Today, I pray we would establish deep conviction in our hearts to surrender everything to God. No one is forcing us to do so, but God is specific when we walk in obedience to Him and when we choose to disobey. I pray you would read Deuteronomy 28 to understand this key point. The commitment to surrender our lives to God every day is up to us. I believe many of us will be challenged because God is speaking directly to our soul, causing internal conflict. This internal conflict is a clear indicator something is not right with our current state and that our Lord does not want us to remain the same. God has a mighty plan for each of us. Let’s get on our knees and give everything to Him. 1 Corinthians 6:19b-20 You are not your own, you were bought at a price.
