SURROUNDED WITH CHOICES The choices we make today determine the life we enjoy. In Genesis 2:16-17, God planted Adam and Eve in the garden and surrounded them with choices. “And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die”. He gave them the freedom of discretion. That is life - the freedom to choose what to do, what to say, how to act. Without this discretion, life is meaningless. Jesus Christ has given us a mind and ability to choose between right and wrong. How we make those choices is up to us. If you choose to serve the Lord in truth and faith, you will eat the good things the land produces. Mind you, serving the Lord, our Saviour, is the only road to comfort and peace while serving the devil is a sure way to bitterness, pain and death. Life’s biggest decision is what you do with Jesus Christ. What choice are you making? Prayer: Lord Jesus, grant me the grace to stay true to Jesus Christ to the very end, ‘til we are glorified at last.
