SUSPECTED EBOLA CASE REPORTED IN SOUTH AFRICA JOHANNESBURG - The Health Department says results are expected out later today, after tests were conducted on a Johannesburg man who showed one of the symptoms of Ebola. The Health department says the man did not have contact with Ebola patients while in Liberia. The 37-year-old man works for a mining company in Liberia. He was cleared by scanners at OR Tambo International Airport when he arrived in South Africa more than a week ago, but he developed a high fever two days ago. His doctor reported the case to the National Institute for Communicable Diseases (NICD). The man was then admitted for tests to the Charlotte Maxeke hospital, in Johannesburg. The Health department says the man did not have contact with Ebola patients while in Liberia. South Africans dont need to be worried and panic. We need to made sure that we continue to be on high later and we are doing everything we can as a country,said the departments spokesperson, Joe Maila. -eNCA
