SUSPECTS IN LATEST OXNARD SHOOTING REMAIN AT LARGE (Tuesday 11-19-13 at 9:30 PM) Oxnard police continue to search for suspects in Monday nights shooting in Del Sol Park. An 18-year-old male was shot in the left knee. He was found between the north end of Eliza Court and the soccer field in the park around 9 PM Monday night. He is recovering. Witnesses gave police descriptions of two vehicles seen leaving the area after the shooting. They received a tip from the public about one of the vehicles reportedly parked in the 5100 block of Columbus Place several miles from the shooting. Officers set up a perimeter and began an all night effort to find the suspects. The SWAT team was called in, nearby residences were evacuated and many announcements were made over a PA system. Using a robot and a K-9, officers searched one residence, but ended up leaving early Tuesday morning without any suspects in custody. (Photo by Rodney Marquez of OPD at Del Sol Park Monday night).
