,*SUSPENCE* EPISODE 9 *THE FINAL EPISODE* From my work to Mannex hospital was trekable. And so I walked there. I moved with fast steps that it seemed like I was almost running. The reckless bike man who knocked her down, dropped her at the hospital and ran away. The doctor had refused to commence treatment on her if no money was deposited. I had to hand over my golden wristwatch to him inorder for him to attend to her. She had a fracture around her kneels and her shoulder girdle. I was with her at the hospital till the next morning. Her dad had gone on a trip to pay his last respect for the departure of his best friend and may stay there for two days. But she said her mum promised to return home the next day. I called my parents and told them I would be spending the night with a friend...and that was settled. I had to help her with virtually everything. To brush, eat, and even carry her to the toilet. (But like sriously, her sheet no dey smell. Lolz!) The best moment of my life was spent with Lateefah at the hospital. She too confessed the same thing. When it was time to retire to bed, I bid Lateefah goodnight & spread a mat at the side of the bed to lie on buh she insisted we used the same bed. We did. and as we slept, we were not holding each other or so...but I woke up in the morning only to discover that my chest had become her pillow. The feeling was great anyway. I was up very early in the morning and ready work. But just then, someone walked in....unbelievable; it was the woman in room 05. Mum! Lateefah yelled. Obviously, shes Lateefahs mum. She stared at me with bewilded eyes. I stared at her too. And poor Lateefah starred at the both of us. There was silence in the air. Mum, u knw my friend already? Lateefah broke the silence. This is the very guy I told u about, her mum responded. OMG...Its so nice u already knew each other.... she went on and on...and on. *THE END* EPILOGUE: This story u read is my true life story. Just a little fiction. Therere so many other things that have happened in the hotel where I worked...I remember when a man I knew came to lodge at the hotel with a young lady. I went to his house and invited his wife to come see the man she got married to...and she caught him red-handed sleeping with another woman. That was big trouble 4 the couples. PERHAPS, THAT WOULD BE A STORY FOR ANOTHER DAY*,,
