SUSPICIOUS PERSON SOUGHT IN THORNTON ESSA TWP. — Provincial police are asking for the public’s assistance regarding an incident in Thornton south of Barrie Tuesday night. Nottawasaga OPP — including the the canine unit and the emergency response team — responded to a prowl-by-night and a break and enter call but were unable to locate the suspicious person involved. The investigation is ongoing. Police are asking Thornton residents to check their properties for unexplained footprints, paying attention to tree lines and sheltered areas on their property. Anyone observing suspicious activity around their properties or within their neighborhoods is asked to contact police immediately at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers.
