SW Connecticut Weather Brief for Sunday (PM), November 2, 2014 The storm system that brought the rainy and windy weather continues to move up the New England coast. We have one more night of active winds and cold temperatures before high pressure (currently over Kentucky) brings a few days of fair weather and a gradual return to comfortably cool temperatures to southwest Connecticut. ADVISORIES The National Weather Service continues the WIND ADVISORY until 7PM this evening for Fairfield and New Haven Counties. Winds: NW from 20 to 30 mph with potential gust to 45 mph. The National Weather Service has also issued a Freeze Warning from 3AM to 8AM Monday for southern Fairfield County. Overnight lows will fall to the low and mid-30s with wind chill values in the mid-20s. The GALE WARNING continues for the waters of Long Island Sound until 12AM Monday. FORECAST Tonight: Mostly clear and cold with lows from the low to mid-30s on northwest winds from 10 to 20 mph with potential gust of 25 mph. Monday: Mostly sunny and breezy with highs from the low to mid-50s on westerly winds from 10 to 20 mph with potential gust of 30 mph. Monday Night: Clear to partly cloudy and cold with lows from the upper 30s to mid-40s on west winds from 5 to 10 mph. Tuesday: A mix of sun and clouds with highs from the mid-50s to low 60s on southwest winds from 5 to 10 mph. Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy, not as cold with lows from the mid to upper 40s on southwest winds around 5 mph. Wednesday: Partly sunny and cool with highs from the upper 50s to mid-60s on southwest winds from 5 to 10 mph. Wednesday Night: Mostly cloudy with a slight chance of showers and lows from the mid-40s to the low 50s on light southwest winds.
