SWAT team helps serve 3 warrants The Wayne County Drug Task Force and the Richmond Police Department SWAT team served warrants on three men Friday morning in Richmond, taking all of them into custody without incident. Jeffery D. Lane, 48, was located at 1151/2 Richmond Ave. and arrested on a warrant for dealing a controlled substance (heroin), according to a press release from RPD Sgt. James Mastriano, the head of the Wayne County Drug Task Force. The charge is a Class B felony. Lane remained in the Wayne County Jail late Friday afternoon on a $25,000 bond, requiring 10 percent in cash. Perry Carter Jr., 24, was found at 240 S.W. Second St. and arrested on a warrant for dealing cocaine, also a Class B felony. Carter also is charged with possession of marijuana and resisting law enforcement, which are Class A misdemeanors. Carter bonded out of the jail Friday afternoon on a $25,000 surety bond. Christopher Collins, 25, was located at 4021/2 S. 12th St. and arrested on a warrant for a parole violation. Police say Collins also is a suspect in an ongoing investigation. Collins is not eligible for bond because of the parole violation.
