SWATted in Walmart - Shot and killed by police John Crawford, man in video, picked up a BB air rifle off the shelf at Walmart He is on his phone with someone in a Dayton, Ohio April and Ronnie Ritchie, 2 white shoppers, were trailing black shopper John Crawford through the store Ronnie Ritchie called 911 from the aisles of a Walmart A black man is walking around with a gun in the store, “He’s, like, pointing it at people, Children walking by.” “just put some bullets inside”. Police response was immediate and overwhelming Crawford was shot and killed within seconds upon officers arrival He was shot in the back of his left arm and in his left side he was turned away from the police officer who shot him. Ritchie said he was an “ex-marine” (He was thrown out in 2008 after 7 weeks, being a “fraudulent enlistment”) A 37-year-old woman collapsed in the ensuing panic and died of a heart attack
