SWEET SUNDAY MORNING SERVICE- Episode 2 Despite being abashed by the humiliation from these dream killers i call pals, i remained unshakable in my new found faith,my sudden love for music fuelled by my angelic lorita. I sat down quietly,this time wanting a glass of vodka to calm my mood swing.i gave no damn to their laughs, sorting for a suitable filteration technique for this environmental nuisance at the moment.At some points i wished i could just pause everyone else with a remote device. My heart raced, with mixed feelings, more likely a pandemonium. God bless Lorita i smiled. Tina: Ehmmm choir master! Choir master!!, hellooo!.. (i didnt hear her, i think i was moon walking with Lorita somehow on planet mars, her voice recovered me from the subconscious. Are you ok? she muttered, i see you are very serious about this issue,pardon us for been quite lackadaisical and unable to key into your dreams, but meen i havent seen you this serious for a very long time..so how do we come in? Tina is my favourite when it comes to problem solving. She is a team player of some sort,calm and easy going. A good organiser, and an excellent mind reader. I am sure she had read my small mind. No wonder her skills had earned her a double promotion in her work place as a risk assesment manager in one of Nigerias Telecommunication giants. Chris: you know, what i dont seem to follow is what may have informed your sudden decision to join the choir? I know you like the back of my palms Ernest.I know you are a goal getter,needless to say that if nothing is really at stake you would be this energetic. Whats the Goal? Me: i still recall making my point clear when i told you guys i just wanted to build my music talent. (all laughing again). Adaeze: Ener bobo, now tell me,how come you are just discovering you can sing? i tire oo, lola chipped in...i just hope its not one of those sisters for that choir u dey eye? ME: Shut up Ada, why would you accuse me of lusting over some sisters? I don mention to you say i like anyone of them before? Those far-below-the knees skirt wearing holier-than-thou sisters? Haba Ada,make sense small na. ( i placed a resistance). Emeka: The truth is that this young man is not just coming up with what ever it is he is hiding.my instinct tells me a woman is behind this. (At this point my face betrayed my soft heart by a beaming smile, all eyes focused on me like a miner who just struck gold, the handwriting was everywhere. Tina: Ernestology,hehehe, the study of Adam & Eve, i hail ooo, Now you are talking, (she hailed, showering encomium i surely was gonna pay back somehow). Chris: Bros bros, so who is she? Im happy you have found love again maan after your last heartbreak,hope she dey ok? I trust you. Me: i just met her today in church, though we started talking,i hope to see her tomorow unfailingly. Lola: Nice one,so now,abeg i have been itching to know, what has this all have to do with music knowing that she isnt in the choir like you mentioned? Me: lola, one thing at a time na, you will know with time. Lola: ok o, i am happy for you sha, hey guyz lets toast to this.. We all had a toast to success,friendship and love. That evening was fun filled. I Eventually came home at around 10pm,took a warm shower,and retired to my bed. What a sweet sunday i sighed!! Your comments,corrections, and suggestions is welcome.
