Sabbath Message for March 8, 2014 from Dr. Hughon W. James, Personal Ministries Leader, Basseterre Seventh-day Adventist Church: My dear brothers, sisters and friends, on March 1, 2014 we quite successfully concluded our Annual Ingathering Campaign under the theme, Changing Lives Begins with You. This effort has been a tremendous blessing to both our members and the community at large as many precious souls have been positively impacted by our ministry and the gospel of Jesus Christ. As we continue to enjoy the privilege of being God’s own special people, let us be always ready and willing to “proclaim the praises of Him who called us out of darkness into His marvellous light” (1 Peter 2:9). This is a very serious and challenging, yet very exciting, time to enlist as workers for the Lord. Advancing under the banner of Prince Immanuel, we may often feel powerless and incapable, but we must be ever mindful of our missionary goal: pointing the lost to Jesus who is “the way, the truth, and the life” (John 14:6). This is not a mere human pursuit but rather our response to the divine commission to “go everywhere in the world, and tell the Good News to everyone” (Mark 16:15, NCV), to “teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Ghost” (Matthew 28:19). Let us therefore move forward with courage and confidence, claiming the victory that Christ has guaranteed! Amen!
